Armour concepts for a new, secret project.
The characters shown are a married couple who are also knights, so I wanted armour that was the same and could be worn by either of them, or at the very least matched. I then made different styles of attachments for the cape to add a bit of variation.
An illustration for the Grimm Brothers’ 1812 The Frog Prince.
The original frog’s character was a lot more pushy than what I was used to from childhood fairy tales, so I took inspiration from Mike Mignola’s iconic style to portray the fear and revulsion experienced by the princess.
Top Left (greyscale) is a cover for one of the stories included in the Evil Women Anthology, in which a brave Roman adventurer finds herself trapped in the nest of a harpy.
I then used the same text for an unrelated school assignment, creating two new illustrations and presenting the entire thing as one long horizontal scroll tied with ribbon. It was also my first time experimenting with mixed media and Mono Printing, which is how I got those funky rock textures.
Assets for my stop motion animation. These were then printed, cut out, and used to make The Adventures of Scottie.
The Adventures of Scottie - A Stop motion animation using paper cut-outs.
The assets were first illustrated in Photoshop, printed in A3, cut out, then manipulated by hand and recorded using a Visual Presenter. The music is Tequila by The Champs (1958).
The Adventures of Scottie is a fake trailer for a caper adventure starring Wallis “Scottie” Campbell and her motley crew of international allies.
Some Frozen redesigns I did a while back for an Ideas Development class, taking note of the criticism and re imagining the characters as Inuit people; with Elsa’s character as a shaman, Anna and Kristoff as regular villagers, and Hans as a visiting explorer.
I tried to strike a balance between fantasy and more traditional clothing. Of course, as I myself am not Inuit, so I tried to be as sensitive and thorough with my research as possible.
